TOKIDOKI ECO MONDO BAGS, HELLO KITTY, GLOOMY BEAR PANDAS!

Hi, We have the new tokidoki Eco Mondo Bags in and we are trying something new. We are taking pictures of all the bags we got in, so you can choose that specific bag to be sent to you. This way you get the character placement of the bag you want! One thing I've noticed about this is if 2 people order the same bag at the same time, it will let you both order the same bag. If this does happen, the person who's order went through first will get the back and we will notify the person who didn't get the bag right away. Here are some pics of the new bags!
We also got in a lot of cute Hello Kitty items from Japan like these Hello Kitty Ice Cream Cones, 6 flavors ($12 each)
And these super soft fuzzy Hello Kitty dressed as sheep, bear, panda,puppy, bunny, or chick, ($12 each)
And we got in a bunch of phone charms with Totoro and Astroboy characters ($5 each), and these Hello Kitty Phone Charms...there are over 100 different ones, and they are super cute. We are making these mystery phonecharms where we randomly pick them for you, ($3 each)
These super cute Gloomy Pandas came in with a tire on them. They are 10" high, and come in 5 bright colors...We cut the tire off on some of them, if you don't like the tire...I don't know what the tire means...its a mystery??? ($27 each)
And we have Gloomy Bear Ramen Bowls...there are 2 different pictures. Here is Natassia holding one. They are soooo cute! ($28 each)

This is Patrice. She came on the JapanLA Japan trip last June, and we hung out and had so much fun in Japan. She is wearing a shirt designed by Camilla D'Errico for JapanLA. The back says "JapanLA hearts Helmet Girls." The girl is named Lollipop Pia, and she is one of the helmet girls that Camilla draws. You can only get this shirt from JapanLA, ($25). We just got these new big plush in...This character is called "Usaru." He is a rabbit that turns into a superhero when he puts on his monkey suit. These are so cute. I love when animals dress as other animals. There are 3 kinds. The white one is the rabbit when he's not wearing the monkey suit, $32 each.
These are bread characters made by Sanrio. These are so hard to find. I've only seen them in Japan. There is also a Panda friend (not shown) that is part of this character series, $30 each.
New Gloomy Bears are in! These are Gloomy Plush that clip onto your pants. It comes with a caribiner, and it has a small zipper on Gloomy's back, where you can fit money or keys, or anything small. I think ravers will love this!

Hello Kitty butter cookies and phone charm of Hello Kitty dressed as a sports character panda. Wow! These are amazing...and I ate the cookies today, and they are really good, $5 each.
These are Hello Kitty Nintendo DS covers. We have Gothic Lolita Hello Kitty and Original Hello Kitty. We can't sell these online, only in the store, $33 each.
Finally, a Little Twin Stars item...and Pochacco too. These are cute digital clocks, only $18 each. We also have these with Cinnamoroll, Kuromi, Keroppi, Badtz Maru, My Melody, and Hello Kitty. These also can only be bought in the store, not online.

JAPANLA LOLITA & FRIENDS TEA PARTY AT ROYAL/T

JapanLA is hosting a tea party this Sunday, August 3rd, at the Royal/T Maid Cafe. It is for Lolita and friends, which means dressing Lolita or other Japanese street fashions is encouraged, but not required. I hope you can make it. It is free! And, guys are invited too! Melrose's Japanese pop culture store, JapanLA, and Culver City's Royal/T present High Tea Sunday, a special meet up and High Tea event for L.A. Lolitas and friends at Royal/T.
Join us Sunday, Aug 3rd, from 2-5pm for:
JapanLA will screen a never before released Gloomy Bear music video by Mori Chack from 2-4pm in the Royal/T VIP video lounge. (This is a 3 minute video that will continuously play).
Photographer Neil Sharum will be taking pictures of Lolitas who step into the looking glass of the Kawaii Kills shop window display to become living mannequins.
A special Lolita High Tea including mini pastries, macaroons, kappa maki finger sandwiches, a mini quiche, and a pot of tea at $25 per person. (reservation required). To reserve a table in the cafe for Lolita High Tea during the event, please send your request to rsvp@royal-t.org, seating is limited so please rsvp right away.
Guests are welcome to visit the art space, shop, and participate in the event for FREE.

Yesterday was Steph's last day. I took her to the airport this morning, she moved back to Oregon. I am really bummed. Here is her last picture on the JapanLA blog, she may resurface from time to time when she visits, but for now here it is.
This is a special limited edition collaboration with Sanrio and Shoko Nakagawa aka Shokotan. She is a Japanese idol and is famous for her blog. They even made a book with all her blog posts in it. You can check out the blog at http://www.playlog.jp/shokotan_usa/blog/archive/20080709-1--10
We only have a small amount of these...only 200 were made...and we have men's t-shirts, which are super hard to find, we only have men's medium and xl, the t-shirts are $40 each because of the limited run. These were available at the Anime-Expo and we bought the last dozen or so of them from our distributor.
Here's the explanation of what the t-shirt means.
JapanLA has their own socks (well, kind of), we picked our own colorway of these socks from DGPH, (from Argentina), we love them! They are $10 each, and are only available in this color at JapanLA.
